After my mother died I put on a lot of weight. I just moved to Shirley and knew no one. I joined a local gym that I had no motivation to go to. I googled personal trainers and found Dorene. After speaking with her for ten minutes I had to make an appointment and try it out. I have quit every gym and Trainer I have ever used so I didn't have any expectations. I was amazed at how fast we got along and how warm and understanding she was. I now see Dorene 3 times a week at 530 in the morning! Then drive over an hour to work to start an 11 hour work day. It is worth it! She gives you the motivation you need to take the big step in your life to make changes. She was even able to help me get off my sleeping meds bc after excercising I don't need them anymore! I started my training with Dorene one year ago and I am pleased to say I have seen results as well as my friends and family. I have been a diabetic for over twenty years now so to me it is very important to maintain my weight and have control over my sugar levels. In the past year I have lost weight and my sugar levels have improved. Training with Dorene is just what the doctor ordered for me. Dorene's workout is great, she is always mixing the routines up so I never know what to expect which makes it something to look forward to. She is always changing it up by putting strength training in on some days and more cardio on others. My activitly level has definitly gone up and I can keep up with her as well. She has done some bootcamp workouts as well which are a great challenge but alot of fun! I recommend her for anyone who wants to change their life and the way they feel about themselves. I was laid off from my job in December 2009. Had a very hard time finding work. Interviews every day with no luck...I personally was getting overweight, depressed and heading into a bad situation being sedentary and having a rough time I had to make a change. That is when I decided to turn my life around mentally and physically and set my life's goals down on paper and make them a reality. I told myself nothing comes from talk, it comes from work and from believing in myself and that i can do it. I love working out and I love helping people so...while training myself and helping myself to lose weight and get in shape, I started taking courses to learn about becoming a Personal Trainer and a Nutritional Specialist AND...I started training 3 friends at the same time! Within a year's time (less than a year) I lost the weight, got in better shape than I've been in since I was in High School, got my Certification and Diploma as a Personal Trainer and Nutritional Specialist and continue on! I am 44 years old. I have Crohn's disease and a fused left knee. I have been training with Dorene Campo for almost 5 months. My main objective and goals, before I started working out was to lose 10 pounds and to build muscle. Dorene, designs my workouts around my bad knee. The workouts have been very enjoyable and never get boring. The workouts, have even kept my Crohn's disease in remission. Dorene, is a very patient and motivational trainer. I started with my training at first to see if I can lose some weight, but after a visit with my doctor I was told to start exercising to improve my health. Well after my latest visit I can now say I am doing much better. So as well as my health started to improve so did my self image! I feel so much more confident now, and with Dorene?s help I also have a positive outlook on life. I train with Dorene about 4 days a week now. I love my workouts and look forward to them as every time I go she plans out a different routine for me. I talk to her about the parts I would like to work on and she takes that into consideration but then will put her own routine into it and I never know what to expect.
